Here’s a chance to dig out your glow sticks, dress up in Dayglo and join Doha College for the first ever night run in Doha!

On Thursday 21 March 2013, Doha College and Aspire Zone will host another sporting event, The Night Run 2013. Popular across the world, Doha College is bringing the first ever night run to Qatar.

Established in 1980, Doha College is one of the oldest British curriculum schools in Qatar, providing a world class education for 1,200 students, between the ages of 3 and 18 and from over 50 countries.

David Thompson, Doha College teacher and keen runner said:

‘At Doha College we encourage students to participate in sporting and community activities. I am delighted to be organising this first Night Run for Qatar to support our students and the wider community and to emphasize a healthy lifestyle.’

Starting at 10 pm, runners or walkers will complete 5k or one lap around the Aspire Zone. Dayglo outfits are optional but participants are encouraged to wear bright or reflective clothing. Participants must be 16 of age or older. All entering participants will receive a t-shirt to commemorate the occasion.

To participate, you will need to pre-register by logging onto the event’s page!
