Mandarin Oriental, Doha is hosting acclaimed Pastry Chef, Jonathan Soukdéo, from the iconic Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. For a limited time, Fans of Mandarin Oriental will have the chance to be transported to Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok with Chef Jonathan’s signature desserts for a high-end afternoon tea experience called Flavours of Bangkok hosted exclusively at the hotel’s Baraha Lounge and Mandarin Lounge from 28 May to 11 June 2021.
The arrival of the Thai chef marks a journey of culinary surprises and themed menus which are yet to be revealed at these elegant venues. A selection of savouries and desserts are included, each featuring a Thai inspired flavour such as the cucumber salad, beef meatball and the not-to-be-missed scones with Thai mango. To complement the delectable bites, bespoke blends of Thai iced tea and coffee will be served and a Butterfly Pea Flower mocktail to add to the experience.
Chef Jonathon has created a delightful mélange of sophisticated flavours which are exquisitely presented and utterly original. Bringing the famous vanilla dessert and the prized precious stone dessert, both of which are unmissable must-try’s at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. Two desserts created exclusively for their guests are the coconut and mango dessert with coconut mousse, mango jam and crispy coconut sablé and the Chef’s specialty madeleine with sesame praline, chocolate sponge and 55% dark Valrhona chocolate crémeux.
