Brigadier Nasser bin Fahd Al Thani said that for the first time, the Civil Defence Exhibition and Conference will be merged with Milipol Qatar so that everything related to internal security will be under one roof. Under the patronage of HH the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the 12th International Exhibition of Internal Security and Civil Defence will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre in October.

According to officials of the Milipol Qatar Committee, the Ministry of Interior has taken important steps to ensure the utilisation of the latest civil defence systems in Qatar. They continue to raise awareness about public safety by organising conferences, exhibitions, lectures, and training programmes, and efforts are also in place to develop the Milipol Qatar Exhibition, to provide unprecedented experiences for exhibitors, visitors, buyers and industry professionals.
In the midst of continuous changes and developments that characterise our world today, the civil defence sector continues to play an increasingly important role in enabling states to protect their populations in emergencies, disasters and daily challenges, as well as address a range of important issues such as crisis management, emergency management and planning and preparedness for civil emergencies.
Brigadier Al Thani said that Milipol Qatar 2018 will highlight a range of state-of-the-art civil defence, monitoring and protection solutions designed to protect the population.
This year’s edition will also feature live interactive presentations where exhibitors, visitors and buyers will be able to see first-hand the latest products and innovations in the industry.
The exhibition will have seminars, informative presentations, case studies and important discussions with a group of global thinkers. These seminars will focus on three main topics: cybersecurity, civil defence and security management of major events.
Brigadier Al Thani also called on local security, safety and civil defence companies to participate in Milipol Qatar 2018, as it is one of the most important exhibitions of its kind.
Many civil defense companies have officially confirmed their participation, including Nafco, the world leader in the production and supply of fire equipment, the Integrated Engineering System (CESCO), Gulf International Trading Company, China Pioneer from China, Haix Schuhe GmbH from Germany, Turbosan from Turkey, to name a few.
Milipol Qatar is a pivotal event that provides unique opportunities for security and safety professionals and security service providers to meet and discuss the most important developments in the security sector under one roof.
The exhibition will also present the most important internal security solutions and innovations that are essential to any country, providing a platform for different countries to look at these solutions, build relationships and sign contracts.
