The Freestyle Aquatics Program is scheduled to host an event for the physically disabled at the American School of Doha (ASD) on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 October.
On both days, the event will begin at noon and will conclude at 5pm. During the five hour long event, swimming and dive instructors will be ready to offer trials to any physically disabled participant willing to receive a life changing experience. Event participation can be made for the first day (Friday) or second (Saturday) or both. At the end of the trials, the programme officials expect to have delivered three main benefits to the participants – advancement of their psychological wellbeing, enhancement to their physical fitness, and convalescence of their social health.
The very best in the industry have been invited to this event – all have instructor-level diving certification with specialisation in the area of handicap diving/swimming.
Everyone is welcome to the event and it is free of charge to all who qualify. To participate, pre-event registration and diving-related medical clearance is required.
