International School of London Qatar welcomed the Minister of Education for Cyprus, Professor Costas Kadis, and his delegation, along with Dr Abdulaziz Hassan Al Tamini from the Office of the Minister of Education of Qatar on tuesday, 12 January.
The delegation met with Headmaster Christopher Charleson and Managing Director Amin Makarem to learn more about the success and growth of ISL Qatar’s international education programme, with particular interest in the Mother Tongue classes. The Minister concluded that the best way forward, in order to integrate people from across different cultures, is to start with an inclusive international education at a young age, with special provision for different mother tongue languages.
Professor Kadis is hoping to apply his findings to help bring the different communities of Cyprus together.
