‘Green Jacket’ for Top Winner at ECGC Masters Tournament

ECGC Inaugural Masters Tournament

The inaugural Education City Golf Club (ECGC) Masters Tournament which was held earlier this month registered some great scores from all 55 players who participated in the event.

The event was an open tournament that saw members and visitors doing challenges for their own green jacket. In line with the pristine golf course conditions that are seen on regular basis at ECGC and Augusta National, the agronomy team ensured that the greens had some Augusta like speed to them, taking the Education City Golf Club greens up to 13 on the stimpmeter.

Andrew Ikstrums took the first place honours in the gross division with a score of +1 (73). The score could have been better with him firing an impressive 7 birdies throughout his round of golf. ECGC member Timothy Hufford took the first place honours in the Nett division with a score of -2 (70). His round featured a nett eagle and 8 nett birdies.

The winners took home some excellent prizes from Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara who partnered with ECGC for their inaugural tournament.
