Fireworks Display

Visitors and residents are invited to the Doha Corniche from 4:30 – 10:30 pm, where they can enjoy the pleasant winter weather, family-friendly entertainment, delicious treats and a spectacular fireworks display at 8 pm.

Food Trucks and Stalls

In support of local community initiatives and businesses, the area surrounding Qatar’s iconic ‘Orry the Oryx’ mascot will feature a number of booths and activities presented by Qatari entrepreneurs and organisations. Members of the Bedaya center are set to sell their locally-made delicacies, and casual seating areas are set up where families can stop for a bite from one of the 10 food trucks and stalls that will be serving delicious treats throughout the afternoon and evening.


Food and shopping will be complemented by a lively entertainment schedule, featuring music parades, stilt walkers, illusionist shows, a ‘Arda dance and other entertainers performing throughout the day. Infusing an educational element in the festivities, there will also be four daily screenings of episodes of Siraj, Qatar Foundation’s new 3D animation ‘edutainment’ TV series. Additionally, children and their parents can enjoy their favourite stories at a mobile library.

Siraj Screenings

The daily activities will kick off at 4:30 pm and continue through to 10:00 pm in the evening. Siraj screenings are scheduled to run for half an hour starting 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm.

Doha Comedy Festival

Be ready to buckle with laughter as Qatar’s largest stand-up comedy show ‘Doha Comedy Festival’ is back for the 3rd time. The line-up includes the world’s top performers from the US, UK, Middle East and the GCC.

The Doha Comedy Festival is organized and produced by The Social Studio and supported by Qatar Tourism Authority as part of ‘Shop Qatar’.

The Festival will host world-renowned standup comedian and international TV host of ‘The Daily Show’ – Trevor Noah and the British comedian, ventriloquist, and winner of Season 10 of America’s Got Talent -Paul Zerdin. These talents will join extremely popular performers from the Middle East and the GCC including Bader Saleh whose YouTube show garnered over 346 million views, Nemr Abou Nassar entitled with ‘Lebanon’s King of Comedy’, the Jordanian comic critic Rajae Qawas, Syrian social media activist and comedian Mohanad Al Hattab, Egyptian standup comedian Mohamed Salem and the fluent Arabic-speaking comedian from South Korea – Wonho Chung to name a few.

Cats the Musical
