Qatar’s leading logistics provider GWC celebrated World Quality Day 2019 in one of the company’s warehouses at Logistics Village Qatar. The event celebrated the achievements of its employees from all departments.

The event was attended by members of the senior management team, and had several edutainment activities that highlighted the company’s commitment to quality. They also distributed awards for high achievers.

Speaking on the occasion, Group CEO Ranjeev Menon said that GWC approaches all its operations and interactions with a sense of purpose – to set a world-class standard in logistics operations, and support Qatar in its vision of becoming a sustainable and diverse economy.

This sense of purpose is felt from the top-down and across the entire scope of our offerings, and it starts with our commitment to quality, health, safety, and environment throughout our facilities, operations and solutions.’

World Quality Day 2019 is part of a series of events carried by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and its sister organisation, the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA), promoting the value of using management systems to control business risk and contribute value. It is celebrating its 100 years this 2019. Quality management has made significant contributions to advancements in healthcare, manufacturing, construction, energy, defence and transportation.

Since its establishment, GWC has pro-actively initiated acquiring ISO certifications based on the importance of implementing the highest standards of quality across all its service offerings. Today, the company holds five management system standards:

  • ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System (QMS)
  • ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS)
  • ISO 22000:2018 – Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
  • ISO 27001:2013 – Information Security Management System (ISMS)

All these system standards are governed by the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
