Ahead of its April application deadline, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is inviting prospective students to attend its final round of upcoming college information sessions. Scheduled later this month, the sessions will provide interested applicants with an opportunity to learn more about the array of innovative graduate programmes that HBKU offers.

Information sessions will offer detailed insight into HBKU’s graduate programmes with a focus on curriculum, unique research opportunities and admission requirements. Attendees will also have the chance to meet the deans, faculty, admissions staff, and current students to learn more about the benefits of enrolment.

19 March: College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS)
Liberal Arts and Sciences Building

CHSS will share information about its MA programmes. The two translation programmes under CHSS are delivered by the Translation and Interpreting Institute and validated by the University of Geneva. Through its multidisciplinary programmes, CHSS aspires to nurture a diverse body of academically grounded and socially responsible citizens ready to tackle today’s pressing challenges.

21 March, College of Science and Engineering (CSE)
Education City Student Centre

The session will discuss CSE’s MS degree programmes in: cybersecurity; sustainable energy; biological and biomedical sciences, and genomics and precision medicine – amongst a full list of 13 PhD and masteral programmes in science and engineering-related fields. CSE is home to three divisions that include Life Sciences, Sustainable Development, and Information and Computing Technology. The college’s faculty members are internationally recognised and pursue research in high-impact areas for Qatar, the region, and the world.

25 March, College of Islamic Studies (CIS)

Representatives from CIS will introduce prospective students to its MA in Islamic studies and MS in Islamic finance, the latter being one of an extremely limited number of top-tier specialised programmes available worldwide.

29 March, College of Law and Public Policy (CLPP)

College representatives will shed light on the region’s first Juris Doctor degree created in partnership with the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. The JD programme is the first and only one of its kind in the MENA region, and it seeks students who are highly equipped with legal knowledge, enabling them to make the most of their career options in the public sector, private industry, and academia.
