Head of QMMF and FIM Vice President, Nasser bin Khalifa Al Attiyah, arrived on Wednesday 19 November 2014 at Jerez, Spain to enter the elections of FIM executive on Saturday 22 November 2014 among the participation of 111 unions and clubs all over the world.

QMMF has arrange a head quarter for him at Sherry Park hotel. Al Attiyah said:

I am happy to be here in Jerez and also I am happy to enter this election for the second time as an Arabian and Gulf citizen belonging to the Asian continent. I hope to have a positive result to continue the path of the previous four years of the hard work to promote the motor sport in Asia. On the basis of the above, we are now working upon actual strategy.’

Al Attiyah mentioned some negative aspects that affects the motorsport, saying that it is a dramatic status surrounding the sport. He added:

This was clear during my period as vice president in the last four years. There is no cooperation or coordination of FIM unions and clubs. We are living now at the end of 2014. However, I am optimistic for a better future with good cooperation and cooperation to clean  the negative aspects…we seek to formulate new constructive ideas throughout organising great championships. This is what happened actually in Qatar, when we hosted many international championships in different fields and got many titles. The last championship award was for the circuit for motocross and Losail International Circuit as the best night circuit. All these successes were due to the permanent support of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the government of Qatar for their belief in the power of the Qatari human powers and skills that are able to achieve more Qatari achievements .

Al Attiyah enters this elections in different circumstances than 2010 as he managed to have a direct link between the European and Asian unions in the last four years. A part from organising many championships at Losail international Circuit in Qatar, Al Attiyah is behind much of the support of motor bike sports in the Middle East region, organising many championships such as Motocross Championship in Qatar which is considered the first of its kind. Moreover, Al Attiyah managed to make a fruitful cooperation with all unions members through his good relationship with FIM President, Vito Ippolito, who did his best to promote the motorsport all over the world.

Al Attiyah will enter the elections in the period between 19 to 25 November 2014 in Jerez, Spain.
