HEC Paris announced the launch of the HEC Alumni Qatar Chapter during an online inaugural event. 

Award-winning scholar and start-up expert Hamad Mubarak Al Hajri (EMBA 2017) was appointed president of the chapter. He will be supported by Eman Al Sulaiti (EMBA 2015) as Vice President and Wassim Maksoud (SBUM 2018 C2) as Treasurer.

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the Ambassador of France to Qatar, HE Franck Gellet and HEC Paris in Qatar Dean Dr Pablo Martin de Holan.

Addressing the gathering, HE Gellet said that the economic spheres of France and Qatar are closely tied, and the French Embassy is happy to support the launch of the initiative.

Dr Martin de Holan, meanwhile, pointed out how proud HEC Paris in Qatar is, of their alumni.

They are talented women and men who have significant impact in creating better organisations and ultimately, a better world.

He said that the Qatar chapter is the newest addition to their Alumni association, which was created in 1883 in Paris. The dean said they truly deserve this platform to showcase their talent and expertise to the nearly 60,000 HEC Alumni around the world.
