HEC Paris delivered a workshop on the crucial role of learning style versatility during Qatar Foundation’s biennial World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE). The academic institution ranked number 3 worldwide in Executive Education by Financial Times in 2019.

Professor Wolfgang Amann, Academic Director of HEC Paris in Qatar Specialized Master’s Degree, delivered a workshop devoted to ‘The Crucial Role of Learning Style Versatility in Times of Unlearning and Relearning’ during the WISE event recently.

The workshop aimed to trigger discussion on the role of learning style versatility as a new meta-skill and learning outcome and included a presentation of a case on how a learner will benefit from an increased learning style versatility over a lifetime, especially in a more volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world.

Professor Amann explained that the workshop shed light on the larger responsibilities of education institutions, primarily in tertiary education level. Amann has designed and delivered executive education seminars for more than 20 years, published more than 40 books for executives and won numerous research, teaching and impact awards.

The workshop, primarily designed as an experiential learning exercise, focused on a tested approach at HEC Paris in Qatar. Professor Amann summarized key session lessons and provided participants with a written summary of the insights. Participants also gained a thorough overview on how to measure learning outcomes and learning effectiveness based on a newly developed and practically tested tool.
