HEC Paris will start its next intake of the Specialized Master’s in Strategic Business Unit Management (SBUM) programme in January 2021. The institution’s latest SBUM degree programme includes an all-new curriculum.

Featuring a world-class faculty, the updated HEC Paris Specialized Master’s has been designed for participants looking to enhance their leadership and management skills. The programme’s content and learning methods blend research with practical application where participants are given exposure to international best practices.

According to Dr Pablo Martin de Holan, Dean of HEC Paris in Qatar, their SBUM programme has been designed to tackle the challenges of the current times, and the need for adaptation and resiliency at the personal and organisational level.

Despite today’s uncertainty, education is something that cannot be compromised. Developing one’s leadership and management skills is crucial to cope with the constant changes in the environment, and the introduction of technologies and the changing economic conditions.

The HEC Paris in Qatar Specialized Master’s is delivered in a flexible 15 to 18-month modular format starting with a core curriculum focused on leadership, strategy, finance, and leading change. The in-class part of the programme consists of two to five-day modules each representing a total of 360 hours.

The Specialized Master’s programme is based on a number of key fundamental principles, including an interactive learning environment that encourages participants to discover next generation insights. It focuses on practical application and global success and promotes a rapid integration of the latest trends like digitalisation. The programme also administers an orientation towards responsible leadership and management.

The Specialized Master’s is further characterised by a professional thesis, which enables participants to focus on a specific challenge related to their industry and provides detailed and well-researched solutions. The programme reflects the commitment of HEC Paris to contribute to the development of a knowledge-based economy in Qatar and to strengthen corporate competitiveness in the region.

Another benefit of enrolling in Specialized Master’s programme at HEC Paris in Qatar, its graduates become part of the institution’s prestigious alumni network worldwide, which was ranked number one by The Economist in 2019.

Since joining Qatar Foundation in 2010, HEC Paris has witnessed the graduation of more than 400 participants from its SBUM programme.
