The new football season is about to start for ‘Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence’ when the Qatari institution officially welcomes four high-profile under 17 teams for another high-profile Tournament on Monday 11 August 2014.

Football Director of Aspire Academy, Roberto Olabe, said:

We are always delighted to see our boys representing Qatar and this tournament is another chance for them to gain international experience and to compete against strong sides and get to know different styles of play. I am sure that these games will be another useful learning experience for them.’

This time the Qatar youth national team (age group 1997) will take on the youth national teams of Oman and Kuwait as well as Real Madrid Juvenile B at Aspire Zone. The teams will be officially welcomed at Aspire Academy on Monday 11 August 2014 and the six games will take place on 12, 14 and 17 August 2014. The kick-off time for every game is 8 pm and each game will be played 2 x 40 minutes.

Since opening its doors in 2004, Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence has become one of the foremost national sports academies in the world. Working as part of the Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) – an international sport destination – Aspire Academy is at the heart of a sporting revolution currently taking place in Qatar and around the region.
