The Emergency Department at Hamad General Hospital as well as all Walk-in Clinics and Pediatric Emergency Centers across the country, will be open as per normal operating hours during the Eid Al Adha holidays.
The Outpatient Department (OPD) at Women’s Hospital will be closed on 23 and 24 September and the Newborn Screening Unit will be closed on 24 September. The Obstetrics High Risk Clinic, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Integrated Clinic and Feto-Maternal Unit Clinic will be open on 27 to 29 September from 8 am to 1 pm; all other Women’s Hospital OPD clinics will be closed 27 to 29 September, resuming normal operations starting 30 September. The Emergency Department and pharmacy service will operate as per normal hours throughout the Eid holidays.
The Heart Hospital’s Outpatient Department will be closed from 23 to 26 September. Clinics will resume normal operations on 27 September. OPD Pharmacy will be open for discharge prescriptions only on 23 and 24 September from 9 am to 5 pm and on 25 and 26 September from 1 pm to 5 pm; Normal operations will resume on 27. The Inpatient Pharmacy will operate as per normal hours throughout the Eid holidays. The hospital’s radiology services will continue to operate 24/7 during the holidays but prior approval for some services like X-ray, computed tomography scan, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound and nuclear medicine, may be required.
Al Wakra Hospital’s General OPD, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy will be closed from 23 until 26 September and will reopen on 27 September operating from 7 am to 3 pm until 1 October. Normal hours of operation will resume on 4 October.
The National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) OPD and Day Care Unit will be closed on 23 and 24 September. The OPD Pharmacy will be open on 23 September from 7 am to 3 pm but closed on 24 and 25 September. All other services will operate as usual.
Al Khor Hospital’s OPD (including Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Dental Clinics) will be closed from 23 to 28 September, reopening on 29 September. Additionally, OPD evening clinics will be closed until 27 September. Any patient who requires urgent care or refill of medications during the holidays is advised to proceed directly to the Emergency Department.
The Cuban Hospital’s OPD, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy Departments will be closed from 23 to 26 September and will be open from 27 September to 1 October operating 7 am to 3 pm. The Emergency Department, including its pharmacy, will remain open throughout the Eid holidays. No booked surgical procedures have been canceled; patients are advised to contact the hospital if they wish to reschedule a booked procedure due to the Eid holidays.
