The Ambulance Service of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has commenced activities in Villaggio Mall as part of its drive to educate the public about the key messages of its ‘Know the 5 to Save a Life’ national awareness campaign, which was relaunched at the start of the summer season.
The campaign, initially run in 2013, aims to educate the public about key actions to take when calling an ambulance in an emergency situation. Brendon Morris, Executive Director of the Ambulance Service said the second phase of the campaign has been an enormous success.
Throughout the summer we used a wide range of channels to reach as many people as possible, including newspapers, roadside advertising boards, social media, and online adverts. The start of this phase of in-mall activities gives us an opportunity to discuss the messages in person with members of the public.’
Members of the Ambulance Service will be in Villaggio Mall until 24 September before moving to Doha Festival City from 26 September to 1 October. They will highlight the ‘Know the 5 to Save a Life’ messages and explain the role of the Ambulance Service to the public.
According to Ali Darwish, Ambulance Service Assistant Executive Director, the Ambulance Service provides a vital service to Qatar’s population. Teams rush to assist people with serious medical emergencies everyday and working effectively with the public helps ensure they can provide the very best standard of emergency care as quickly as possible.
The ‘Know the 5 to Save a Life’ campaign is helping educate the public about key actions to take when calling an ambulance in an emergency situation. I encourage anyone visiting Villaggio Mall or Doha Festival City to take the time to speak to our staff and ask any questions they may have about the Ambulance Service.’
