Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) announced the opening of a medical clinic in the Sealine area next month, ahead of the start of the camping season this year. The Sealine Medical Center, which is set to open on 2 November, will operate every weekend during the camping season, opening each Thursday at 3 pm and remaining open until Saturday at 5 pm.
Ali Abdullah Al Khater, Chief Communications Officer at HMC and Chair of the Healthcare Communications Committee, said this is the eighth consecutive year that HMC has operated the clinic. He added that the clinic is located close to the seashore and popular camping areas to allow for easier access should healthcare services be required by residents or visitors.
The annual opening of the clinic in the Sealine area is in line with HMC’s commitment to providing the safest, most effective, and most compassionate care to all of Qatar’s residents and visitors.’
Al Khater, who is also the Project Manager for the Sealine Medical Center, said the clinic is manned by a doctor and nurse, and equipped to receive patients with minor health concerns, as well as emergency cases. The clinic is supported by the HMC Ambulance Service, providing campers with round the clock access to a team of paramedics and well-equipped ambulance vehicles. The clinic also has a helicopter landing area to transfer patients from the beach to the clinic, and to transfer acute cases to a hospital.
