Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) won the prestigious Top Hospital Award in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety during the 18th annual forum of the Arab Hospitals Federation (AHF) – MEDHEALTH held in Cairo from 28 February to 1 March.
HMC Chief Communications Officer Ali Abdulla Al Khater received the award on behalf of HMC, together with Mohamad Mubarak Al Noimi, HMC’s Chief of Staff and Chief of the Managing Director’s Office as well as a member of the Executive Board of the Arab Hospitals Federation.
The award was presented by the Egyptian Minister of Health, HE Dr Ahmed Emad Al Din Rady, and the Arab Hospital Federation General Secretary Prof Tawfik Khoja.
During the forum, the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar was also awarded the Excellence Award for Health Awareness in 2017. The award was received on behalf of the Ministry by Dr Saleh Ali Al Marri, Assistant Secretary General for Medical Affairs at the Ministry of Public Health and Mohamad Mubarak Al Noimi in his capacity as the Chief of the Health Minister’s Office.
By awarding HMC with this prestigious quality improvement and patient safety award, the AHF recognised HMC’s commitment to ensuring the highest international standards in healthcare delivery in Qatar, as well as its continuous effort to improve patient safety across its network of hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Chairman of HMC’s delegation to MEDHEALTH Ali Abdullah Al Khater said the award came as an acknowledgement of HMC’s efforts to ensure patient safety and improve the quality of its services.
