All Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) emergency departments will operate as usual throughout Qatar’s National Sports Day 2016 celebrations.

Out-patient department (OPDs) clinics at Hamad General Hospital, Al Wakra Hospital (AWH), Heart Hospital, National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR), The Cuban Hospital (TCH) and Al Khor Hospital (AKH) will be closed.

Additionally, Al Wakra Hospital’s dental, physiotherapy and gynecology out-patient sections will not operate tomorrow.

NCCCR’s day care unit including the OPD pharmacy and laboratory will also be closed while its urgent care section will remain open for 24 hours as per usual.

At The Cuban Hospital, elective surgery patients who already have bookings for tomorrow will be contacted if there is any change to their bookings. Patients requiring a prescription refill should consider attending before 9 February when services will be limited to urgent care.

AKH’s obstetrics/gynecology and dental clinics will be closed tomorrow while the Inpatient Pharmacy as well as the Accident and Emergency Pharmacy will be open 24 hours.

Women’s Hospital OPD clinics will be closed but the pharmacy will operate as usual throughout Sports Day.

At Rumailah Hospital, patients will be attended to in Treatment Room Three from 7 am – 3 pm at the Communicable Disease Clinic while the four evening clinics will operate as usual from 4 pm – 9 pm. The Psychiatry Department will be open in the morning from 7 am – 3 pm. All clinics in the dermatology, dental, plastic surgery and geriatrics departments will be closed throughout tomorrow however there will be on-call doctors for all closed clinics.
