The first thing visitors say is ‘what is there to see in Doha?’ At Doha Bus they say, ‘there is a whole lot to see.’
Doha has first class museums, cultural centres that rival the best, shopping centres that will make your head spin, and educational cities that would make the ivy league blush, as well as athletic academies that are the envy of the most prestigious clubs in the world!
Doha Bus is a great way to get introduced to some of the main places in an effective and efficient manner. The route currently runs the length of Doha’s Corniche, through downtown Katara, The Pearl-Qatar and then to Souq Waqif and circles back.
Once on the bus you will be treated to a complementary beverage and an audio guide that will illustrate to you the things you are seeing, and inform you of the history and culture of Qatar and its people, their humble beginnings and lightening growth. Since the audio commentary system is GPS guided you can sit through the whole tour, which is about 2 hours 15 minutes, or get off at any location along the way – when you get back on you won’t have missed a beat.
Your ticket is valid for 24 hours and permits you to hop on and off the bus as you wish, where you wish. So let’s say you heard about the new exhibit at the Museum of Islamic Art and you wish to take a peek! You can check it out and once you’re ready to continue to the next interesting spot you can hop back on the next bus coming along.
Buses come along every 20 to 30 minutes, and if you need to inquire you can call 4442 2444 and you will be assisted.
