The Ministry of Public Health has reintroduced the compulsory hotel quarantine requirement for visitors coming from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka effective 12 noon of 2 August.
According to MOPH, all travelers coming from these countries are subject to hotel quarantine for a period of 10 days. Travellers who have been vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 in Qatar, coming from one of these countries, are subject to a hotel quarantine for a period of two days. The quarantine period will end after obtaining a negative PCR test result on the second day.

The Ministry also updated the Green, Yellow, and Red classification of countries.
