What is made from about 6000 gingerbread tiles, 400 kg of frosting and more than 1,000 man hours? The InterContinental Doha The City Gingerbread Village!
From the gingerbread clock tower and assortment of houses to the train tracks and skating pond, the master pastry chefs at InterContinental Doha The City have created the ultimate holiday display from pastry. They even transformed their Lobby Lounge coffee shop into a life-sized gingerbread house. Four kinds of pastries were used including royal icing, gingerbread tiles, jelly and chocolate. The look was completed with various non-edible holiday decorations such as a deer, snowman, wrapped gifts and ornaments.
Bring your children every Saturday during December at 3 pm at Santa’s Lobby Lounge Workshop and delight in creating your own gingerbread house. Executive Chef Udesh Nalaka will guide you through all the special techniques to build and decorate the perfect holiday treasure. Priced at QR65 per child.
