The International School of London (ISL) Qatar hosted the First Term Tournament for Debates in Arabic language for the preparatory stage of Qatar schools.

Twenty-seven schools from different parts of the country participated in the championship, and thirty-five referees were in attendance, including three from ISL Qatar: Maher Barhoumi, Sumaya Ibrahim and Fatima Khattab. ISL Qatar entered two teams of female students, while some students also volunteered to assist during the championship.

The tournament consisted of three rounds, each round being a competition between two teams from two different schools. The team from ISL Qatar won in the second round over the Tunisian school. Qatar Debate praised the preparations of ISL Qatar in hosting the tournament.

The tournament will be completed in the second semester after which the teams in the first three places will be announced, as well as the ten centres for the best speakers.
