Disney’s popular 1998 animated film Mulan was successfully brought to life recently at the International School of London (ISL) Qatar as students re-enacted the musical. Over 100 students participated in the grand production which entertained an audience of more than 1,500 people over four performances.
ISL Qatar students spent hours rehearsing, which was evident after their performance and from the standing ovations they received. The production has been a team effort with many departments involved such as the Performing Arts Department – music, drama and dance; and the students and parents who worked on the customes, make-up and front of house.
Building on their experience from previous musicals – Lion King and Beauty and the Beast – ISL Qatar’s Performing Arts Department led by Claire Daniels as Director, continues to support the students’ talents and dreams. Daniels was very proud of the students for their hard work and commitment during the rehearsal period.
ISL Qatar Head of School David Monk congratulated Daniels and the students for the extraordinary efforts in putting together an incredible show that was enjoyed by many parents and students.
