The International School of London Qatar (ISL Qatar), now celebrating ten years, hosted its fifth annual Winter Carnival at its North Duhail campus this week. The school’s atrium, gym and playground were transformed into a ‘winter wonderland’.

The event attracted over 1,000 visitors from the student body, parents and the ISL Qatar community. The crowd enjoyed musical performances by the talented choir of ISL Qatar as well as the student Rock Band who performed some of their well-known pieces.

With more than 50 unique vendors selling arts, crafts and baked goods, they contributed to making the fifth edition of the ISL Qatar Winter Carnival the most successful thus far. One of the vendors who was taking part for the first time in the school event found the carnival, ‘fabulous and great’. The ISL Qatar Student Council also organised several activities for visitors, including henna and face painting, snow bowling and games.

Visitors enjoyed delicious savouries and the live Shawarma station. The playground was also turned into an outdoor lounge where visitors came to enjoy coffee and hot chocolate.

It is one of our values to focus on charitable activities. We try to instil these values in our students. We look forward to welcoming the community to our future events.’
