On the occasion of the Italian Research Day, the Embassy of Italy in Doha together with the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) and the Environmental Directorate of the City of Milan, organised a webinar titled, A New Approach for a New World. Eco-Sustainability and Environmental Transition Between Research and Practice

By presenting innovative projects and methodologies, developed both in Qatar and in Italy, the webinar aims to initiate a dialogue on new initiatives in the field of energetic efficiency and environmental transition.

It offered an exchange of good practices on various issues, starting with the crucial diversification of energy sources, functional to the redefinition of urban spaces based on the criteria of sustainability and efficiency.

In the words of the Ambassador of Italy to Doha, HE Alessandro Prunas:

Zero emissions, carbon neutrality, air quality and building efficiency are all themes whose topical dimension is now more than ever in the spotlight. This must therefore be considered not only as a subject of academic analysis but also as a matter of current administrative policies and urban planning.

Italian Research Day is celebrated every 15 April to mark the birth of renowned Italian artist and visionary Leonardo da Vinci. The first edition of this special day was in 2018.
