Currently in Myanmar, tens of thousands of Rohingya Muslims have been denied citizenship and are forced to flee their homes in the western Rakhine state. The situation has forced the stateless people to seek asylum in neighbouring regions, aid is desperately needed to provide them with simple necessities such as food and shelter.

In addition, QC and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have signed an agreement to provide emergency relief to the displaced Rohingyas. The USD500,000 agreement is expected to benefit 2,100 displaced people for six months. Under the agreement signed in Doha, UNHCR will set up 420 temporary shelters for Rohingyas in three districts of Rakhine and Kachin, with a value of up to $500,000 provided by Qatar Charity.
