Kahramaa (Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation) recently launched the first phase of its transformation into a ‘smart’ corporation with a revamped website and smartphone application.
With the revamped website and application Kahramma aims to reduce the number of walk-in customers. The comprehensive website now allows customers, both residential and corporate, to interact with Kahramma 24×7. Services on the website include bill payment, consumption statistics, service tracking, detailed bills, and certificate issuance. Corporate customers can access the website for information on tenders, auctions and awards.
Another highlight of the revamped website is an interactive Tarsheed-Children Site which educates kids about conservation through animation. Tarsheed is a national program for conservation and efficient use of water and electricity.
The Kahramaa application, available in Arabic and English, allows users to locate service centers, access bills, track the status of service requests, and send suggestions and feedback. Customers can now submit their consumption bill by clicking a picture of the meter on the first day of every month and submitting it via the website or the app.
