Nineteen stations have been installed to date, including a solar station at the KAHRAMAA building in Mesaieed and two stations for electric buses at Mowasalat – one for fast charging and the other for night charging. KAHRAMAA will soon award a general tender for the installation and operation of 100 electric charging stations around Qatar. The charging stations will be installed at vital locations such as intersections, shopping malls, government buildings, hotels, as well as Doha Metro Station parking. The stations’ capacities will vary, depending on location. Around 20% of the stations will be constructed with renewable and clean energy systems.
