The security surveillance cameras in Kahramaa were linked with National Command Centre (NCC). The linking was launched by Staff Major General Saad bin Al Khulaifi, Director General of Public Security on Wednesday 13 January 2016 in the presence of Engineer Essa Hilal Al Kuwari, President of Kahramaa and dignitaries from Ministry of Interior and Kahramaa.

Speaking on the occasion Director General said that the linking was implemented in line with the integration of the security system in the country, which stems from the state’s interest in preserving the strategic water reservoirs and electricity plants, and the use of modern technology that helps the security personal in performing their tasks and controlling the vital places in the state.

He added that since water and electricity are strategic requirements of the country the security of the water reservoirs and power stations has become a joint responsibility of NCC and Kahramaa so far.

From his part Engineer Essa Hilal Al Kuwari, said that under government directions on integration between service sectors and state security authorities the Kahramaa was keen to link its all water reservoirs and power station with NCC. The first phase of the project has been completed by linking 27 stations whereas 21 more stations will be linked within the first quarter of 2016. All 250 Kahramaa power stations and more than 40 water reservoirs will be linked soon.

Major Jassim Abdul Raheem Al Sayed, Director of Security Systems at the Ministry of Interior said:

The first responder, while occurring any incidents will be Kahramaa where there will be quick coordination between NCC and Kahramaa and NCC would be capable to manage the situations and control the stations.’
