Cultural Village Foundation –Katara unveiled the festivities of the two-day celebrations of the National Day that will kick off to start with organising and hosting over 43 events.

Katara festivities for this year national day will be organised with the participation of significant number of institutions, authorities and associations. This was announced during a press conference addressed jointly by the general manager of Katara HE Dr Ahmad Bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and the head of Katara national day organising committee, Abdulrahman Al Tamimi.

Addressing attendees during the press meeting, the general manager said that Katara will mark the great occasion of the national day with organising and hosting 43 distinctive events that include parade, cultural and entertaining events.

During the press conference, Dr Al Sulaiti pointed out that Katara will also honour the Qatari iconic singer Mohammad Al Sai who had first introduced the Qatari Patriotic song (My Beloved Qatar), and the musician Abdulaziz Nasser Al Obadan and the songwriter Abdullah Al Hamadi, on 18 December at Katara Amphitheatre.


The general manager of Katara said that a number of workshops and exhibitions inaugurated at Katara on the eve of this month will involve a wide range of visitors on the celebrations of the grand day.

Dr Al Sulaiti extended thanks to the patriating ministries, governmental and semi-governmental entities and media representatives for their contributions.

For his part, the head of Katara national day organising committee pointed out that the two-day festivities will start on 18 December from 1 pm until 10 pm and continue on 19 December from 10 am until 10 pm.

Al Tamimi said:
