Khalifa Stadium Fan Zone Attracts Over 70,000 Fans in Three Weeks

More than 70 thousand attend the KIS Fan Zone 4

The Khalifa International Stadium Fan Zone, organised by Aspire Zone Foundation in collaboration with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), attracted more than 70,000 spectators in three weeks since it opened on 15 June. Over 20,ooo football fans attended the quarter-finals alone.

Because of its unique features, the Fan Zone at Khalifa International Stadium gives fans the chance to experience the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ from one of the first stadiums set to host the tournament in four years.

The cooling technology installed at the stadium allows fans to enjoy the outdoor setting even during Doha’s summer months in convenient temperatures that could go as low as 19˚C.

The Fan Zone can house more than 5,000 fans for each game. Fans can choose their preferred seating from a variety of options. Those who want to watch the games in a private setting can choose from 16 VIP skyboxes at QAR1,500 each (until 14 July) and for QAR2,000 on the final day of the tournament, on 15 July.

Fans can also choose from 24 Majlis areas with designs inspired by Qatari culture, at QAR650 each until 14 July, and QAR1,000 on the final day of the tournament, on 15 July.

Elsewhere inside the Khalifa International Stadium, fans can enjoy the matches from spectator stands, free of charge.

They can also watch the games on giant screens equipped with state-of-the-art LED lighting technologies from inside the stadium.

Semi-Finals Showdown

The Khalifa International Stadium Fan Zone will open its doors again to broadcast the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qatar semi-finals match between France and Belgium this Tuesday, 10 July, and between Croatia and England on Wednesday, 11 July.  . Fans can enter the Fan Zone through Gate 02 at 8 pm.

Aspire will hold a raffle draw for ticket holders after the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ finals, for a chance to win a Kia Cadenza V6 worth QAR91,ooo, currently on-display near the Fan Zone’s main entrance.

To enter the draw, fans will need to buy a ticket online or from the ticket booth set up by the main entrance at Gate 02. Ticket holders can enter their name and contact details on each ticket, and drop it in allocated box near the booth.
