Stemming from its keenness to bring cultures together and open diverse cultural horizons, Cultural Village Foundation-Katara hosted on Tuesday Algerian concert of Andaloussi music presented by Lila Borsali at the opera house. The event that jointly organised by the Cultural village and the cultural influence agency of the embassy of Algeria.

HE Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager and HE Abdulaziz Saba, Algerian Ambassador  along with the heads of the international missions in Doha were also present during the concert.

HE Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti said:

We meet today in this cultural edifice that rich with the human and creative interactions that get its inspiration from every place worldwide to get introduced new cultures and bring cultures together.’

Al Sulaiti pointed out that Katara is proud to host the Algerian musical concert by Lila Borsali which manifest the Andalusian heritage and expecting host more enthralling Algerian events.

HE Abdulaziz Saba pointed out that organising similar concert is a great opportunity to highlight Katara and Algeria. He added:

The art presented by Lila Borsali takes us back to the golden age of the Arabic and Islamic culture.’

Andaloussi music presented by Lila Borsali has grabbed significant turn out of attendees of different nationalities who interacted with an overwhelming sense of joy.

Borsali has exuded thanks to the cultural village for hosting this event. She said:

I really enjoy being in Katara that has always been a light place to host artistic and musical events.’
