To raise awareness about cancer in Qatar and collect funds for the National Center for Cancer Care & Research, formerly known as Al Amal Hospital, The Youth Company (TYC), with the help of a fashion designer in Qatar, puts together Al Amal Charity Fashion Show as part of Al Amal Cancer Awareness Campaign, taking place on Friday 8 March 2013 at Multipurpose Hall of Aspire Ladies Fitness Club. 

The idea of Al Amal Charity Fashion Show was initiated by Libyan Fatma Ghanem, a rising fashion designer and stylist in Qatar, who decided to use her talent to help the community. Al Amal Charity Fashion Show became a part of Al Amal Cancer Awareness Campaign developed with support of FN Advertising, boutique advertising agency.


The Al Amal Charity Fashion Show will feature an elite and diverse collection of abayas, reflecting the ’60 theme, ‘The soul of the 60’s’. The show starts at 6 pm but doors will open from 5 pm, allowing all guests to enjoy the exhibition of artwork by local artists and designers. The displayed artwork and abayas can be purchased at the auction, following the catwalk show. Funds collected during the event will be donated to National Center for Cancer Care & Research through Qatar Charity.

The campaign is actively supported by Qatar Charity, the Supreme Council of Health, Aspire Ladies Fitness Club, host of the event, and Commercialbank, sponsor of TYC.
