Mandarin Oriental, Doha has announced the opening of Mosaic, one of three key restaurants at the hotel. Located on the eighth floor, Mosaic offers indoor and outdoor seating with panoramic views of Barahat Msheireb town square, Al Corniche and West Bay.
Taking centre stage and creating a lively ambience are nine speciality open kitchens which create authentic flavours and dishes designed for sampling and sharing. Guests can expect a culinary journey inspired by the famed Silk Route. Live demonstrations are showcased at the nine speciality open kitchens which include a rotisserie, sushi station, Arabic grill, tandoori oven, Asian wok, yakitori grill and two stations dedicated to creating delicious desserts, refreshing juice and smoothies.
The menu takes influence from exotic destinations along the Silk Route, which stretched from the Far East to Europe. Dishes such as Japanese sushi, sashimi and robatayaki, Arabic mezze and grilled meat, sizzling hot Tandoor oven bread and exotic curries from India, delicate dim sums and wok-fried dishes from China and South East Asia, with a selection of tempting desserts and more. Each dish is prepared by our chefs in a lively and bustling ambience, reminiscent of the street markets or rustic alleys found in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Spanning the restaurant are wooden geometric partitions inspired by woven palm leaves which create semi-private dining spaces. The interiors are reminiscent of traditional Qatari architecture while contrasted by modern copper elements.
