The updated 2018 Honda City light sedan gets a new face, an updated infotainment system and extra equipment. Up front the City gets a new grille, updated halogen headlights with incorporated LED daytime-running lights, and a revised front bumper treatment. New alloy wheel designs fill the arches, while a new rear bumper completes the refreshed look.

Two words describe the exterior: modern and stylish. The sporty look of the front bumper may remind you of the Type-R look, which is really cool. The side of the car could have looked dull due to short length and tall height (it’s a compact car after all) but this has been compensated with nice curve line across the side of the car, making it look lower and unique. Rear of the car looks great with the redesigned bumper and lights that give a premium look and the trunk or boot lid spoiler adds to the sporty look of the new City.

There are also two good words for the interior: Spacious and comfortable. Rear boot and leg room at rear passenger seat are humongous which means this is a great family car. The seats are supportive, with good back support, and there are also plenty of storage compartments in front, side and back so the more kids the better!

Bluetooth will connect your smartphone in an instant and you can replicate your phone screen on the car centre screen by utilising the HDMI port.

The steering wheel feels light which is ideal for city driving as it’s useful when driving around the city. In terms of handling, the car feels stable when cornering and the brakes – ventilated discs at the front with associated ABS and EBA technology – will bring you to a smooth and shudder-free stop from any speed in an instant. The automatic gearbox is very competent and provides for a stress-free driving experience, but the paddle shifters on the EX provide the sport-minded driver with a chance to really enjoy the thrill of driving.

Many people will choose the new Honda City because of its quality and the range of features that it offers. It’s ideal as a family car or a company runabout, and last but not least, it’s a Honda!TECH SPEC MOTORING DOHA QATAR
