We hope we caught your attention with the title! It’s dead easy to make Molasses Snickerdoodle Cookies and should only take 10 minutes – a perfect snack!

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cups shortening
  • 1 cup sugar (plus more for rolling)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cups molasses
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons cloves
  • ½ teaspoons ginger
  • ½ teaspoons salt

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening, sugar and egg. Add molasses and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together, and add to shortening mixture. Mix until combined.
  2. Roll dough into small balls, and coat in sugar. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350ºF/180ºC for six to 9 minutes.
  3. Remove from baking sheet and allow to cool.
