Cyril Mouawad has been appointed as the Multi-Property General Manager of Marriott Marquis City Center Doha and Marriott Executive Apartments City Center Doha. He will overlook the operations of both properties. 

The two properties feature a combined portfolio of over 800 rooms, 12 dining destinations, an extensive conference and banqueting facilities, including a fully equipped outdoor catering division, spa, gym and various leisure facilities.

Cyril joined Marriott International in the early part of 2022 as the pre-opening Hotel Manager for Le Meridien City Center Doha. Under his leadership, the hotel successfully opened on 30 October 2022 in preparation for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The hotel performed above expectations and exceeded its target.

No stranger to Doha

Cyril is no stranger to Doha as he adorned several roles with different brands in Qatar in his enviable career. An alumnus of Notre Dame University, he graduated in Business Administration and Economics with a specialisation in Hotel Management and Tourism. He has over 24 years of professional hospitality experience.

After making his mark as Director of Sales and Marketing with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Beirut, Bahrain and Doha, Cyril moved up the ranks swiftly to hold several roles including Hotel Manager for InterContinental Doha, Pre-Opening General Manager for Staybridge Suites Doha and General Manager for Holiday Inn Hotel & Residences Kuwait.

According to Marriott International Vice President, Qatar Stefan Kuehr, they are thrilled to announce the promotion of one of their brightest young talents from the region. He said they have no doubt that Cyril will bring the hotels’ business to the next level.
