Marriott Marquis City Center Doha celebrated the ‘Qatar National Day’ with its guests and associates. Cake Cutting Ceremony took place in the lobby with a custom designed cake inspired by Qatari tradition and heritage.

Every 18 December, citizens of Qatar and residents celebrate the National Day in commemoration of the historic day in 1878 when Sheikh Jassim, the founder of the State of Qatar, succeeded his father, Sheikh Mohammed bin Thani, as the ruler and led the country toward unity. National Day emphasises the Qatari identity and history, embodies the ideals and visionary aspirations that the country was founded on, and pays homage to the great men and women who participated in building the nation.

During the celebrations, Rick Enders, Multi Property General Manager said:

We are honoured to take part in the celebrations of Qatar National Day, a day that brings the community together who live in Qatar, both citizens and residents, to celebrate pride and unity in the nation’s many accomplishments. We are very proud that the dedication and commitment of all our associates enables us to contribute to the overall success of the nation and, growth and success of the hospitality industry in Qatar.’

On the occasion of the Qatar National Day celebrations Marriott Marquis City Center Doha unveiled exclusive offers throughout the week, such as National Day Afternoon Tea at West End Café and Patisserie and two special Arabic menus, for breakfast and lunch for its guests to enjoy the festivities.
