2012 Student Art Exhibition in Mathaf

In the spring of 2012, the Education Department of Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art launched its first student art competition.

All schools in Qatar were invited to participate, and the museum received over 300 submissions from schools in and outside of Doha. Students created work ranging from installations, videos, paintings, mixed media, sculptures and photographs.

After much anticipation, the museum has selected the winning works and is proud to present them as part of Mathaf Student Art Exhibition: Transform.

A judging panel evaluated and judged the artworks based on the following criteria:

  1. Concept Originality
