The MIA Park Bazaar is held on the first Saturday of every month.

It will have a break over summer (June, July, August and September) and recommence October. The market can be found in the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park, adjacent to Palm Avenue and the main entrance of MIA.

The Bazaar is an opportunity for residents of Qatar to display their crafts and provide an ecclectic, open-air market for visitors to enjoy. There will be stalls that focus on childrens’ items and others on adults, so it is aimed at the whole family.

Approximately 100 stall holders from around 25 countries focusing on food, jewellry, arts, crafts, clothing, books, souvenirs, perfume, candles, and more can be found. Its aim is to be a rustic market that becomes a regular on the social calendar of Qatar, and brings people together within the grounds of the MIA Park.

The seafront MIA Park is nearly 280,000-square-meter (68-acre), including about three kilometers of lighted pedestrian pathways shaded by native palm trees. Visitors will also find paddle boats for rent in a small cove in Doha Bay, as well as two cafés and one kiosk offering souvenirs and other gift items.

The Park features crescent-shaped and designed by Pei Partnership Architects of New York. Its feature a vertical steel sculpture by internationally acclaimed American sculpture artist Richard Serra. The sculpture is Richard Serra’s first public artwork in the Middle East and could be viewed from Doha’s corniche.

In addition to the MIA Park Bazzar, year-round public activities at MIA Park include film screenings, sports events, storytelling programmes and art workshops.

The MIA Park is the latest recreational project under the operational management of MIA.  In addition, there is Al Riwaq which is QMA’s exhibition hall, adjacent to MIA and intended for hosting various art shows.

MIA Park is located right off the Corniche Road through the Port Road entrance; entrance is free of charge. Visitors will be able to access the park through the parking area of the Museum of Islamic Art or they may park their vehicles at a new parking area adjacent to the Doha Port.
