Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) announces the participation of the Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Corporation, Sidra Medical and Research Centre, World Innovation Summit for Health, and Qatar Biobank in this year’s annual Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare at the Qatar National Convention Centre. HMC will host healthcare improvement experts and innovators from around the globe during the three day conference on 5 – 7 May.

Nasser Al Noaimi, Deputy Chief Quality Officer and Director of the Centre for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement at HMC said he was looking forward to sharing work with partners and learning from others who are also involved in actively shaping the future of healthcare improvement.

The Knowledge Zone, a regular feature and another key attraction of the event will be featuring partner exhibition booths, interactive and entertaining learning activities, and the highly popular quality improvement poster exhibition.  Ali Al Khater, Chief Communications Officer at HMC explained that the value of the event is not just the academic segment but also the informal networking and fun learning opportunities that are offered through the Knowledge Zone exhibition area.

This event has been approved as a category 1 learning activity based on the criteria set out by Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners, the body responsible for regulating all healthcare practitioners working in both government and private healthcare sector in Qatar. Doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals attending the Middle East Forum are eligible to earn up to 14.5 continuing professional development (CPD) credit hours.

Event organisers have arranged registration and payment centres in various HMC hospitals. A convenient payment and registration centre will also open inside Bayt Al Dhiyafah, located within Hamad bin Khalifa Medical City.
