The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) recently opened five new preparatory and secondary schools for boys and girls in three municipalities in Qatar. These schools were established to provide the best possible educational experience for students in support of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The new schools will start receiving students at the beginning of the new academic year 2022-2023, with each school able to accommodate 786 students – 36 slots for students with special needs – six classes; the remaining 750 students will be divided among the 30 classrooms.

The new schools are modern buildings with a sports hall, a theatre, science laboratories, art workshops, Computer Labs, and outdoor playgrounds, in addition to an air-conditioned school assembly yard and dedicated parking.

The ministry has followed the country’s sustainability standards during the construction of the schools, using environmentally-friendly materials to ensure the classification of the new school buildings as green buildings, while also ensuring security and safety conditions and easy access for people with special needs.
