As part of facilitating the public and extending the electronic services of the Ministry of Interior (MOI), the security departments, including the Capital Security, Al Rayyan Security, and North and South Dukhan Security, launched an online cheque service via the MOI website.

According to Colonel Hassan Ali Al Buainain, Assistant Director of Al Rayyan Security Department, this step would facilitate the process of cheque case reporting procedures for companies, banks and individuals.

The complainant or the PRO no longer need to visit any concerned security department to submit a manual report, making it easier for individuals and institutions and save them effort and time, as well as help the departments to speed up the completion of transactions.

The complainant, whether individual or authorised person representing an institution, can log in to the service and submit a report with all the required documents. Once submitted, the concerned department will review the report data and the required documents and confirm their validity. After that, a text message will be sent via Metrash stating the successful receipt of the report and its number.

In the event where the required documents are lacking, the complaining party will also receive a text message to inform them to submit the document to complete the case procedures and to refer their case to the Public Prosecution in accordance with the law.

The complainant can also inquire about the status of the case through an electronic follow up service.
