Under the auspices of HE Staff Maj. Gen. Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, director general of Public Security, the Ministry of Interior recently observed Arab Police Day, commemorating the anniversary of the first meeting among the Arab leaders of police and security forces in UAE at Al-Ain city in 1972.
The celebration event held at Ritz-Carlton Hotel was attended by the directors of departments at Ministry of Interior, veteran police officers and employees who were honoured in the event, along with toppers in Police College and institutions and dignitaries from some national bodies and authorities.
Staff Maj. Gen. Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi said that the Ministry of Interior has been observing the Arab Police Day since it was begun in 1972, whereas the Ministry has marked several remarkable achievements throughout the past years in line with social partnership and strategic actions. The Ministry could present considerable services in safety and security levels associated with the most advanced technological systems.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Public Security honoured the veterans from Police and Reserve forces, dignitary persons, establishments and authorities along with toppers who graduated from Police College and institutes.
Brig. Saeed bin Hassan Al Mazroui, who was among the honoured said that the honouring on behalf of the Ministry of Interior in recognition to the services dedicated by the seniors, proved the keenness of the Ministry to communicate with the society and would help to inspire the new generation to serve more and better for the nation and the people.
