Individuals and companies in Qatar only need Metrash2 to ‘automatically’ renew their residency, thanks to the new ZeroClick services of MOI
The General Directorate of Information Systems, in cooperation with the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior (MOI), organised an online seminar on Metrash2 services this week.
The webinar presented the advantages of the Metrash2 for residents of Qatar. According to First Lieutenant Muhammad Khalid Al Tamimi, the number of beneficiaries from the service has reached about two million users already.
The application currently offers over 220 active services and is available in six languages, including Arabic, English, French, Malayalam, Urdu, and Spanish. It guarantees safe and encrypted services and supports most smart devices, reaching the largest possible segment of users.
Al Tamimi explained the procedures for transactions, and the usual process taking place during application such as sending reminder notices to users about the expiration dates of the documents, completion of government procedures and handling of errors automatically.
To enjoy the convenience of Metrash2 services, residents only need a valid Qatari ID and a phone number registered to the user’s name.
One of the more convenient services offered by Metrash2 is the automatic residency renewal, which came with the introduction of MOI’s new concept for ZeroClick services for companies. In order to benefit from this service, the company is required to register (in automatic residency renewal) through Metrash2, and the service automatically renews the residency for employees and sends the new ID to the company without human intervention.
