Roger Dagher, Director of Corporate Communications at United Development Company (UDC), the Island’s master developer, stated:
We are delighted that The Pearl-Qatar continues to be chosen as a preferred destination for hosting glamorous events such as the one brought to us by The Vision. This certainly reflects our position as an ambitious project that has become a beautiful façade to Qatar’s investment in progressive and ambitious developments. These aspirations are also shared by The Vision which is equally looking to contribute to human development in Qatar, as is UDC which is devoted to its corporate social responsibility mandate, of which encouraging local talents is an essential premise.’
This exposure is exactly how The Vision adds value to the budding entrepreneurs, as part of the organisation’s mandate to support creative initiatives and develop capacities of Qatari women in various fields including fashion and arts.
Shaikha Al Sulaiti, Managing Director of The Vision, highlighted that the organisation hopes to enable more and more, young Qataris to kick start and develop their ideas into prosperous businesses that will positively impact the Qatari economy. She added that women’s contribution to the national income is proving vital to the achievement of Qatar’s developmental goals and the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 by which The Vision is both driven and inspired.
The Vision is a Qatari private organisation focused on community service and Qatari talent development. The organisation is managed by a panel of professional and well-connected Qatari women including Shaikha Al Sulaiti, Sheikha/Sara Al Thani, Raya Al Mugaisib, Shaikha Al Mannai, Al Dana Al Sulaiti, Hind Al Muhannadi and Maryam Al Nasser.
