An electronic survey on the National Sport Day is now available online at sportday.qa enabling the public to offer their opinion on the event to be held on 12 February this year. The website also contains the list of scheduled activities for the day.
Citizens and residents are encouraged to participate in the electronic survey, which may be accessed here. Or you could participate by clicking on the ‘NSD Survey’ button located at the right hand side of the website’s homepage.
Sheikh Hamad Abdulaziz j. Al Thani, Head of Media and Communications for National Sport Day at QOC highlighted the importance of public participation and stressed that the NSD Survey is crucial in receiving valuable information from citizens regarding the sporting activities they plan on attending or participating in come 12 February:
Qatar is one of a few countries worldwide to dedicate a day for sports. The National Sport Day is a perfect opportunity to promote Sport for All and helps the adoption of a healthy lifestyle. Everyone is welcome to participate.”
The electronic survey features questions ranging from sports activities practiced to favourite sports, and encourages all to submit their suggestions.
The National Sport day is celebrated every second Tuesday of February and is an initiative adopted by HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent.
