The Lotus driver who got the pole position on 14 February 2014, dominated all the race from the start until the checkered flag.
The second place was for Tim Stevens from Great Britain with a Honda and the third step in the podium was for Peter Devido from Canada also with a Honda. The leader of the championship, David Walker had an engine problem with his car and couldn’t race on 15 February 2014. Tim said:
The race was very nice today, it was much more closer than last previous races. In first few laps, Eric, Peter and Tim were very close but finally I managed to be in front most of the time and pull the lead who gave me confident to drive and made steady lap times and bring the victory home and happy to race here and win’ the winner of the race stated after the race…Very tough race with a lot of grip in the track but at the end it as a great weekend with great time and a lot of top fighting.’
Trophies were given by Rashid Al Sulaiti, QMMF Public Relations Manager and Essa Al Awadi, FIM Asia Vice President. Peter said:
Another fantastic race with a lot of a lot of competition with no contact that is good. Thanks to my sponsor Quanto Bello Qatar for their support in the pits and to QMMF for this fantastic championship. I look forward to the next race.’
In the standings, David Walker is leading with 78 points, Pavel Nedobity is second with 77 points and with 67 points, Peter Devido is in third place.
