A new drive-through COVID-19 testing centre will be opened by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in Lusail tomorrow, 6 January to significantly expand capacity and enhance accessibility for COVID-19 swabbing.
The new 10-lane drive-through centre is only for drive-through PCR tests and is located opposite Lusail Circuit and will begin operation at 4 pm tomorrow. Rapid antigen tests will not be provided in the centre.
The Ministry indicated that the Lusail centre can conduct nasal swabs for up to 5,000 people per day and will work throughout the week from 8 am until 10 pm. It will continue to work as a centre for PCR examination services as long as the demand for these examinations remains exceptionally high because of the omicron wave.
